Princess Eugenie takes on new royal role

Princess Eugenie is taking on an important new royal role to help support her uncle.

At the Garrison Chapel in Chelsea, Princess Eugenie shared that she will be joining The King’s Foundation as a mentor for the 35 under 35 initiative.

Announced to celebrate its 35th anniversary, the King’s Foundation has revealed that “35 under 35 is a network of makers and changemakers, brought together as part of our 35th anniversary celebrations, to advocate for the change we want to see in the world.”

The 35 chosen individuals come from a range of industries and skills, including design, crafts, agriculture, and more- all areas that the foundation works in.

The King’s niece shared her excitement for this new royal chapter, saying “I’m delighted to be working with this group of exceptional young people who have been selected thanks to their outstanding work in areas The King is passionate about. Given I recently celebrated my 35th birthday, it’s fitting to take part in the charity’s 35th anniversary celebrations and share my passion for art with the 35 under 35!”

Eugenie is joining a talented group of mentors for the project. Alice Loxton, an author and historian, will be serving as a mentor, as will artist Sophie Tea and designer Dr. Samuel Ross.
