Princess Charlotte reportedly loves one item of food which is quite rare for a young child to enjoy – but it’s also one of her mum’s favourites.
The young princess, aged nine, loves olives which is a food also loved by Princess Kate.
She is a huge fan of the savoury snack, reports Hello Magazine.
Princess Kate also enjoyed eating olives as a child – most children enjoy crisps, sweets or chocolate so olives are an unusual choice of favourite snack.
In 2018, during Princess Kate’s visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital, she was speaking to four-year-old Rafael Chana, from East Preston, who was waiting for a heart transplant.
Rafa revealed that he liked olives, to which Kate replied: “I used to eat lots and lots of olives when I was little as well.”
Royal reporter Rebecca English later posted on her Twitter page: “The Duchess of Cambridge revealed today that her daughter, Princess Charlotte, loves olives and she encourages both her and Prince George to cook with her.”
Princess Charlotte also reportedly loves spicy food and can enjoy a higher level of spice than her father, Prince William.
The Princess’s brother, Prince George reportedly enjoys spaghetti carbonara, says The Mirror.
Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli revealed the little prince’s favourite meal after a chat with dad Prince William, who let slip George’s top dinner pick.
Zilli shared: “[William’s] amazing – I’m waiting for the call because apparently his little boy’s favourite is spaghetti carbonara, so I’m waiting for the call to go and cook it for him.”
The chef is also keen to whip up his signature dish for the young prince, quipping: “If George has my carbonara, he will never have another one, so I need to go and make it, let’s get the ball rolling, send me to the palace to cook.”
It’s not just spaghetti carbonara that tickles Prince George’s taste buds.
Princess Kate has said that he and Princess Charlotte enjoy making ‘cheesy pasta’ together at home.
