Princess Charlotte was left delighted after an adorable two-word exchange with a royal fan during the annual Christmas walkabout.
The young princess, nine, alongside her mum, the Princess of Wales, 42, her dad the Prince of Wales, 42, and brothers, Prince George, 11 and Prince Louis, six, joined the King and Queen as they walked the short distance from Sandringham House to St Mary Magdalene Church, past a crowd of well-wishers.
Charlotte sent royal fans into a frenzy with her confident mannerisms even agreeing to a royal fan’s request for a selfie.
The same lady who called over the young royal for a selfie also gave the nine-year-old a sweet compliment, telling her “You’re gorgeous” to which Charlotte sweetly replied thank you before walking away towards her dad Prince William.
Since the video was posted on X by a royal fan, hundreds have been sent into a frenzy, dubbing the princess “confident” and “lovely”.
One fan wrote: “She’s a very confident young lady.”
A second said: “She is gorgeous. It was so nice to see all the Royal children behaving impeccably. They are all beautiful kids and so confident in public.”
A third commented: “These kids are growing up so well.”
Another royal fan who was at the Christmas walkabout has rushed to Princess Kate’s defence on X to “set the record straight” and credit the “brave” future queen after she was accused of not enjoying the annual tradition.
During the walkabout Kate shared hugs, and was given large bouquets of flowers by well wishers but despite this some people have taken to social media since the event to say that the princess looked as if she didn’t enjoy the walkabout and was simply making herself do it.
This prompted one royal fan, who was at Sandringham, to defend Kate, who “took time to listen and talk to everyone who had come to see her”.
