Princess Beatrice sips drinks at Glastonbury VIP bar after band’s shock anti-royal chants | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Princess Beatrice was spotted partying into the early hours at a secret VIP Glastonbury hideaway. This came just hours after rock band IDLES stirred up the crowd with a shocking chant of ‘F*** the King’ during their headline performance on the Other Stage on Friday.

Away from the Royal controversy, Beatrice was seen enjoying herself with friends at the Soho House outpost following Dua Lipa’s performance on the Pyramid Stage.

The ever-stylish Beatrice, dressed casually in a black jacket, trousers and white trainers, was seen sipping cocktails until the early hours of Saturday morning. The mum of two barely attracted any attention from fellow revellers as she enjoyed £13.50 Picantes and swayed to Kylie Minogue’s Can’t Get You Out of My Head.

A source told the Mirror: “Beatrice loves Glastonbury and always has a great time but she prefers to stay low-key and blend in with the crowd.

“She’d rather have a good time with her pals than draw attention from anyone else.”

It was well past midnight when Beatrice and her friends finally decided to call it a night. Other celebrities who partied late into the early hours included Cara Delevingne and Anya Taylor-Joy.

The pair, with Cara sporting a jacket emblazoned with the word VIAGRA, had to ask festival wardens for directions as they searched for the VIP area at 1.30am.

Cara was overjoyed when a group of festival attendees recognised her and praised her recent performance as Sally Bowles in Cabaret.

While Beatrice was enjoying herself with her A-list friends, a few hours earlier, rock band IDLES had taken to the Other Stage, leading the crowd in anti-royal chants.

This caused a headache for BBC executives as the set was broadcast with a slight delay on Friday night. The band interspersed their performance with various political statements.

Whilst performing a pro-immigration song, a boat seemingly carrying migrant children was crowd-surfed as the lead singer of the group Joe Balbot hit out at Nigel Farage.

Elsewhere on the Pyramid Stage, Dua Lipa captivated the audience with her first headline performance, complete with fireworks, polished dance routines and surprise guests.

Thrilled, the pop sensation called the event “the maddest night of my life” as she performed a medley of her well-known tracks.

These included songs such as These Walls, Break My Heart, Hallucinate, Electricity, Physical, and Don’t Start Now.

At age 28, she started and ended her performance on the Pyramid stage with songs from her third album, Radical Optimism. The performance began with the song Training Season and concluded with Houdini amidst a stunning display of fireworks.

“This has been a massive dream come true,” she expressed with elation, following up with “Glastonbury, I love you”.
