Princess Ariane of the Netherlands is set to finish high school in Italy.

Princess Ariane, the third and youngest daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, will attend the United World College Adriatic in Italy for the final two years of high school. At the end of those two years, she will have achieved the International Baccalaureate. The school has around 180 students from all over the world.

She currently attends the Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet in The Hague. Her elder sister, the Princess of Orange, graduated from the same school and is currently attending the University of Amsterdam, where she studies Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics. However, she is unable to live in Amsterdam due to severe threats she has received.

Ariane’s second sister Alexia also attends a United World College, although she is at the United World College Atlantic in Wales.

The Government Information Service has emphasized that the Princesses’ school years are considered to be private and asks all media to respect that.

Princess Ariane was born on 10 April 2007, and she is currently third in the line of succession behind her two elder sisters. Her father became King of the Netherlands in 2013, following the abdication of his mother, Queen Beatrix.
