Prince Louis has got Royal Family fans talking again as they spotted one quirky detail in a new Mother’s Day photo.
Princess Kate posted the picture on Instagram today and thanked the public for all the good wishes she had received from the public since undergoing abdominal surgery. It was her first statement since the procedure.
The Princess looked well and she beamed from ear-to-ear in the photo alongside Princes George, 10, and Louis, five, and Princess Charlotte, eight.
Princess Kate wrote: “Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day. C.”
Prince William is believed to have taken the iconic new family photograph.
But, some sharp-eyed fans spotted something odd about Louis’ right hand. One fan said: “Lol Prince Louis is always doing something extra. Look at his right hand.”
Another one noticed: “Photoshop picture. Check Prince Louis fingers. One is short.”
And a third pointed out: “Prince Louis crossing his fingers.”
Last year, followers raised their eyebrows at another photo featuring Louis. Some wondered if his finger had mysteriously disappeared due to a technical blunder.
A Royal enthusiast wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Gorgeous photo! What happened to Prince Louis’ finger? It looks like it’s missing.”
Another asked: “Is Prince Louis missing a finger? What in the AI is going on.”
But another fan revealed: “I think the missing finger is how he’s holding the arm of the chair..”
A Royal insider reassured the Daily Mail that no technological trickery was involved regarding Louis’s “missing finger”. “It’s not Photoshopped. It seems as if (Louis) just bent his finger over. He’s certainly not lost a finger don’t worry about that!” they explained.
Aside from Louis’ finger mystery, royals enthusiasts also lavished praise on the picture and expressed delight at Kate’s radiant appearance. One commented: “Absolutely wonderful to see the Princess looking so well and the children looking so big! A beautiful photo taken by the Prince, thank you for sharing.”
Another posted: “Wishing you a wonderful day today with your gorgeous children, and a speedy, full recovery and return in your own good time to public life and engagements.”
A third admirer enthused: “I love this. The Princess of Wales looks healthy. Such a beautiful picture.”
One fan pointed out how much the youngest Wales child looks like his grandad. They said: “Louis looks so much like grandpa Middleton.”
