Prince Harry is likely to snub the UK after his return hints as “his life is in America”, a royal expert has claimed. The Duke of Sussex will celebrate privately with his wife and children on Sunday in Montecito in California before heading off on a break with friends.
Members of the Royal Family have shared messages on social media about his birthday.
In recent weeks, there have been rumors suggesting that Prince Harry might spend more time in the UK, feeling drawn to his former home and reconnecting with old friends and colleagues.
However, there’s little evidence to support these claims, reports BBC.
A friend of Harry told the publication that a return to the UK isn’t likely.
The friend said: “Why would he give up everything he’s accomplished there to come back here? His life is now in America.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially moved to the United States in March 2020, after stepping down from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex initially spent time in Canada before relocating to California, where they now reside in Montecito.
Prince Harry has been involved in several legal battles in recent years, most of which revolve around issues of privacy, media intrusion, and his security arrangements.
BBC continued: “The bottom line is Harry doesn’t feel his safety is guaranteed in the UK. When he was here earlier in the year, he was offered a place to stay at a royal residence in London.
“He turned it down believing his royal location would become public knowledge, attract media attention and make his movements around London difficult and risky. Instead, he stayed under the radar, based with his team in a London hotel.”
