Prince Andrew has been dealt a huge blow being v oted as the least popular member of the Royal Family in a new poll as he remains embroiled in a row with King Charles over the tenancy of Royal Lodge.
The Duke of York has been voted the least popular royal, according to a recent YouGov survey of 2,025 UK adults, with 87 percent of Britons saying they have a negative opinion of him and only five percent viewing him positively.
He remains a non-working member of the Royal Family, and many of his honorary titles and military roles have not been restored.
Most recently he has faced increased pressure from King Charles to vacate Royal Lodge with the King reportedly eager to end his private funding for security on the estate and move his brother into smaller lodgings.
However, Andrew has been resisting efforts to relocate to a smaller property such as Frogmore Cottage and may even opt for a “mobile security” team as a compromise.
Many have highlighted his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson owns a £4m property in Belgravia, which currently sits empty and could home the pair.
The two-bedroom Georgian house is also only a short distance from the homes of their two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
But a royal expert warned this property is not the solution to ‘the Prince Andrew problem’ and could not only cause problems for him but also place a burden on the UK taxpayer.
Elsewhere in the YouGov poll, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ranked second and third worst respectively with 60 percent of Britons having expressed unfavourable opinions of Harry and 63 percent for Meghan.
