The Princess of Wales could attend the Remembrance Sunday service in November, it has been predicted.

Princess Kate, 42, has stepped back from royal duties this year – with the royal having only made two public appearances so far in 2024.

The mother of three revealed that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy in March, and shared that she was was in the “early stages” of her treatment.

Kate appeared alongside her young family at this year’s Trooping the Colour on June 15. The royal also attended the men’s final at Wimbledon with Princess Charlotte last month.

After much speculation over her royal return, an insider shared that Kate’s return is not likely soon – but that she may attend “keynote national events”.

A source told the Daily Mail that Kate “is likely to continue to attend keynote national events, such as Remembrance Sunday.”

Express.co.uk has contacted Kensington Palace for comment.

Speaking about her return, a source also told the publication: “We are not there yet. When we last heard from her ahead of Trooping the Colour, she said her treatment was going on into the summer and that’s what’s happening.”

They added: “And as she herself said, she is not out of the woods yet.

“For anyone there is a lot of physical recovery after treatment finishes. It’s not like flipping a switch.”

Kate shared via a statement on June 14 that she would be in attendance at the Trooping the Colour the following day – also giving fans an update on her health.

The royal wrote: “I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months.

“It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times. I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting.

“But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well. My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home…”
