Meghan Markle's Suits return 'exposed' as co-star signs up for LA spin-off

Meghan Markle could be tempted to return to the American drama Suits according to a TV expert. The Duchess of Sussex has been keeping busy as her Netflix series With Love, Meghan was released earlier this month on the streaming platform. Now, the Rachel Zane actress has set her sights on Hollywood which could mark a triumphant return to acting.

According to PR expert Edward Coram-James, CEO of Go Up, Meghan could follow in the footsteps of acting giants including Brendan Fraser, who shocked Hollywood with his return to movies in 2022 after 15 years out of the spotlight.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, he explained: “Meghan had a legitimate career in acting before she left Hollywood for royal life. Suits was a very successful legal drama that built a loyal audience.

“Meghan had strong screen presence, charisma, and comedic timing, and she held her own alongside seasoned actors. With the right role, she could make a real comeback.”

He continued: “Look at other actors who stepped away for years but returned stronger — Matthew McConaughey/the McConaissance and Brendan Fraser.

“If she carefully chooses a prestige project — something with a strong female lead, perhaps a political drama or a film with social impact — it could elevate her status all the more.

“Think about how Reese Witherspoon transitioned from romcom actress to media mogul by producing and starring in Big Little Lies — Meghan could take a similar route. A limited series, a documentary-style scripted project, or even a well-placed guest role could work in her favour.”

Meghan played the role of Rachel in Suits for seven seasons from 2011 until her departure in 2018.

It comes as her former Suits co-star has reprised his character in the legal drama much to viewers’ delight.

Suits LA made a comeback and the show’s spinoff has garnered a lot of attention with its announcement of bringing back Harvey Spectre (Gabriel Macht) and Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) from the original series.

The episode is titled Batman Returns and is set to premiere on March 16, 2025.
