Meghan Markle will “undoubtedly” use her autobiography to “settle some scores”, according to a royal commentator.
The Duchess of Sussex has been long dogged by speculation about planning to write a memoir focused on her personal experience as a royal.
The book would follow in the footsteps of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, which earlier this year sparked an uproar because of the bombshell allegations he levelled at senior members of the Royal Family – including his brother Prince William.
Author Tom Bower claimed the Duchess could use the autobiography to share “Meghan’s truth” and offer further insight into her and Prince Harry’s decision to quit the institution.
He suggested a majority of the claims Meghan might make are likely to exacerbate the ongoing feud between her family and senior members of the Royal Family.

Bower told The Times: “It will be Meghan’s truth. There will be a readership for it because she’ll undoubtedly settle some scores from her point of view.
“What she says she said to the Queen, to Kate, to Philip, all that will be in the book whether corroborated or not, and that’s a goldmine.”
The author also suggested the Duchess of Sussex could soon be returning to her first love and reclaim her role as an actress.
He added: “I think she absolutely is going to return to acting.”
Indeed, Meghan earlier this year signed up with Hollywood star agent Ari Emanuel’s WMW agency.
But sources close to Meghan claimed she is eyeing a producing career to expand her business ventures rather than planning to revive her acting career.
They claimed Emanuel’s team will seek to turn the Duchess into a “power player” in Hollywood with new brand partnerships, endorsements and TV roles.
They said: “The deal is about making Meghan a power player in Hollywood.
“Even though she is, of course, an actress, this isn’t about movies or shows for Meghan to star in. It is about creating projects for her to produce. She wants to run the show.”
And she is also tipped to finally make a comeback on social media after she teased her return to Instagram during an interview in September last year.
