Lifestyle briefs | Artisans market continues in Trinidad – Times-Standard


Plant exchange

A “Plant and Seed Exchange” will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon in the parking lot at the Humboldt County Library, 1313 Third St., Eureka.

Everyone is invited to bring their extra plants, starts and seeds and to take what they want from others home. Make sure to label all plants, starts and seeds that you bring and don’t bring invasive plants to the event.

Artisans market

The Trinidad Artisans Market takes place Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Saunder’s Plaza in Trinidad.

This event, which includes local crafters and artistans, food and music, continues every Sunday through Sept. 18.

Music in garden

The Humboldt Botanical Garden’s Summer Music Series features Blue Lotus Jazz with special guest Michael Curran on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

The event will be catered by Stephanie’s Home Cooking. Non-service dogs are not allowed during this special event. This activity is free to Humboldt Botanical Garden members, with general admission applying for non-members.

Reggae party

Reggae icons Third World will perform June 24 in an all-ages show at Forever Found, 109 Fifth St., Eureka. The show, which starts at 9 p.m., will open with the local band, The Irie Rockers.
