King Frederik X’s 56th Birthday

The extended Danish Royal Family joined King Frederik X on the Balcony of Frederik VIII’s Palace in Amalienborg to celebrate his 56th Birthday on May 26th. This was the first time the Danish Royal Family have celebrated the King’s Birthday following the Accession of King Fredrik X in January upon the Abdication of Queen Margrethe II.

King Frederik X was joined by Queen Mary, Queen Margrethe II, Crown Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, as he waved to crowds and viewed the Changing of the Guard from the Balcony of Frederik VIII’s Palace, Amalienborg in Copenhagen to mark his Birthday.
