King Charles will 'only listen to one person' as he's urged to rest after hospital visit

King Charles is likely to have enjoyed a restful weekend after a busy week for the monarch. As well as carrying out a number of royal engagements, the King also had a brief visit to hospital after he suffered some side effects from his ongoing cancer treatment.

While the visit was just for a “short period” of observation, the King is believed to have been encouraged by those around him to rest. However, this may be easier said than done for the monarch, who has a reputation for being an extremely hard worker. Although Charles may struggle to sit back and relax, royal author and expert Phil Dampier said there is only one person he is likely to listen to – Queen Camilla.

Dampier told The Sun: “King Charles has always worked hard and is renowned for burning midnight oil and even falling asleep at his desk working so many hours.

“But those days must be a thing of the past and it’s vital he looks after his health and cuts down his workload.

“He needs to pace himself — which the Queen has said he is hopeless at doing — and she is probably the only person he will listen to.”

While the King may take advice from Camilla, 77, it appears this is not an easy job for the monarch, with the Queen revealing last year that he struggles to follow advice.
