King Charles is said to be looking for ways to reconcile with his estranged son Prince Harry due to “strategic” reasons, a royal insider has claimed.

And they said that any plans to resolve the issue would involve Queen Camilla’s help as her role will be “pivotal” in this because she is the “only person who’s in a position to advise the monarch on who he will listen to.

A former Palace staffer suggested that it’s not “sustainable” for the King to be “on such bad terms with his son”.

They told the Daily Beast: “Ultimately Charles has not just a personal but also a strategic need to resolve the issue.”

The insider added: “The division between state and family is sacrosanct so Camilla will be pivotal in all this. She is the only one who will be in a position to advise him, who he will listen to. She is a pragmatist and I’m sure she understands the importance of putting this saga to bed.”
