King Charles has been focusing on community during time in Scotland.

The King visited a food bank in Alloa, Clackmannanshire. He was greeted by cheerful crowds who braved the chill to see him before heading inside.

The Gate is a charity organisation that provides support and help to those experiencing food insecurity and homelessness. It provides over 75,000 meals throughout the year and helps support four different food banks in surrounding communities.

After he was greeted, His Majesty was able to meet with both staff and volunteers to find out what they do for their community. While there, he was also able to inspect several cakes and scones and tour the food bank facility.

The King also met with representatives from several local organisations, including Forth Valley Welcome and Homestart Clackmannanshire, who have been awarded either a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service or a King’s Award for Voluntary Service.

The dapper monarch chose a red and green tartan kilt for the day and accessorised with a stylish red tie with green accents.
