The King carried on with his busy schedule this week and met with 50 world leaders at Blenheim Palace on Thursday.
New Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is hosting the European Political Community at the famous palace in Woodstock, a summit where most political European leaders will mingle and discuss many different topics, including the war in Ukraine.
Sir Keir welcomed King Charles first outside of Blenheim in the Great Court where they quickly chatted before arriving in the Long Library for the reception.
The King spoke with several European leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni.
The King also received President Zelensky privately following the reception and shared a photo on Instagram.
King Charles has had several engagements this week. On Monday and Tuesday, he and Queen Camilla were in the Channel Islands for a visit and then attended the State Opening of Parliament on Wednesday.
Although called a palace, Blenheim has never belonged to the Royal Family. It was built by Sarah Churchill, one of Queen Anne’s closest friends, and her husband, the Duke of Marlborough, in the early eighteenth century. It was largely considered a reward for the Duke’s military victories, particularly those at Blenheim.
