King Charles III is the spitting image of his late paternal great-grandmother, Princess Victoria of Hesse and by Rhine, it has been reported.
Many members of the Royal Family are often subjected to people pointing out how similar they are to other members – even distant ones.
Princess Victoria of Hesse and by Rhine – who was the late Prince Philip’s grandmother – was later known as The Marchioness of Milford Haven.
She was born at Windsor Castle in 1863 – 85 years before her great-grandson, the now-King Charles.
As reported by MyLondon, Princess Victoria of Hesse and by Rhine would later go on to marry Prince Louis of Battenberg.
The pair went on to welcome four children, including the late Prince Philip’s mother, Princess Alice.
Speaking of his late grandmother, Prince Philip previously recalled: “I liked my grandmother very much and she was always helpful.
“She was very good with children… she took the practical approach to them. She treated them in the right way – the right combination of the rational and the emotional.”
Following the birth of Prince William in 1982, the late Queen is famously known to have said, “thank heavens he hasn’t ears like his father”.
As well as his great-grandmother, King Charles also shows resemblance to his great-great-grandfather, King Edward VII.
Albert Edward VIII was born in 1841 and was the second child and eldest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Born at Buckingham Palace, he was known for his sexual appetite and rotund figure. He waited 60 years to take his place on the throne in 1901.
However, his reign only lasted nine years due to his death aged 68 in 1910.
Much like her uncle, Princess Beatrice is said to bear resemblance to a late relative – Queen Victoria.
Zara Tindall, the late Queen’s granddaughter, is also thought to look like the late Queen’s aunt.
