KING Charles donned a traditional kilt as he attended church alongside Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in Balmoral today.
The monarch beamed as he arrived for divine service at Crathie Church with Queen Camilla and sister Princess Anne, who also had tartan incorporated into their outfits.

Rishi – wearing a smart suit with a blue tie – smiled as he entered the church with wife Akshata Murty, who wore a stylish turquoise coat and brown hat and stilettos.
The late Queen traditionally invited the incumbent Prime Minister up to her Scottish estate for a stay during the summer, and it appears King Charles is continuing this during his reign.
This month marks the one year anniversary of the Queen’s death.
King Charles will reportedly spend the time in quiet reflection with family, instead of hosting a public commemoration.
The 50,000-acre Balmoral estate is beloved by the royal family, and was considered to be the Queen’s favourite residence.
It was here where she spent the last days of her life, before passing away peacefully at the age of 96 on September 8.
Yesterday, King Charles showed off his new tartan as he was joined by Queen Camilla and Princess Anne at the Braemar Gathering Highland games.
Named after the monarch, the King Charles III tartan, is green, blue and red and was designed by the Scottish Tartans Authority earlier this year to mark the coronation.
His Majesty travelled with the Queen to the prestigious event just a short distance from his summer residence at Balmoral in Aberdeenshire.
Numerous games were held including racing, throwing, putting, dancing, running and a tug-of-war.
King Charles has been joined by a number of royal family members at Balmoral this year, including Prince Andrew, Princess Kate and Prince William.
The disgraced Duke of York, 63, was seen in a front seat of a car beside his nephew Prince William, while the Princess of Wales sat behind him, as they headed to church last Sunday.
And while she was not seen, his ex-wife the Duchess of York has been staying at Balmoral too – suggesting approval for his ex-wife from above, in contrast with opposition to her from the Queen’s late husband Prince Philip.
King Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to mark the poignant anniversary on September 8 at Balmoral surrounded by family.
The Sussexes have not been invited despite being in Europe for the Invictus Games a day after the anniversary.
Harry and Meghan, who quit Britain in 2020 and have since repeatedly slammed the Royal Family, are due to kick off the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf 24 hours later.
A source said of the commemorations snub: “If they are not included in any of those plans they will find a way to mark the significance in their own way.”
The couple were in the country for charity engagements last year when doctors became concerned for the Queen’s deteriorating health.
Harry was asked by his father in a phone call not to bring Meghan to Balmoral.
He flew in a private jet alone, separately from William, Andrew, Prince Edward and wife Sophie, and arrived too late to see the Queen before she died.
The Sussexes have been criticised for filming parts of their six-part Netflix documentary while the Queen was unwell last summer.
The series, Harry and Meghan, was finally released three months after the death of Elizabeth II.
