Kelly on seeing a gun when Senzo was killed

South African singer Kelly Khumalo opened up about a seeing a gun for the “first time” when her “baby daddy” Senzo Meyiwa was killed – after she saw a toy gun at her son Christian’s 12th birthday party on the latest episode of her Showmax reality series on 19 July.

Kelly Khumalo was freaked out when she saw a toy gun at her son Christian’s 12th birthday party.

“You guys are going to explain to me where you got this gun. Get your mom and Christian,” she said.

“I freaked out. Any parent should have every right to be freaked out. To have their kid toying around with a gun,” she continued.

She revealed that she freaked out because she saw a gun for the first time when her “baby daddy” Senzo Meyiwa was killed on 26 October 2014 in her mom’s home in Vosloorus. Kelly explained that she since made a vow that she would not buy her kids toy guns. Senzo and Kelly have a daughter named Thingo together.

“After Thingo’s father’s (Senzo Meyiwa) incident. I’d never seen a gun before, it was my first time because I’m like so this is real. I’ve only seen it in movies. After that day I made a vow to myself not to buy my children toy guns. Toy guns are not allowed in my house,” she added.

Kelly seemingly threw shade at her other “baby daddy”, Christian’s father Jub Jub. She implied that Christian feels entitled like his father.

“No emotion. Nothing whatsoever. He feels like he’s entitled to it,” said Kelly after gifting her son a pair of Jordans.

“So, Christian said to me ‘ma’ because I tried to get him Jordans on Christmas, I couldn’t find them. They were out of stock. So, I was like birthday is coming I will get them. He opens them, no emotion,” she said.

So, she also mentioned that it is a bad trait of Jub Jub’s to feel like the world owes him something.

“And this is a very bad trait that I’ve seen from his father. Who feels like the world owes him something,” she continued.
