King Olav V of Norway was joined by Princess Astrid as he welcomed Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and Empress Farah of Iran in an Official Welcome Ceremony, followed by a Luncheon and an appearance on the Balcony of the Royal Palace of Oslo.
In the evening, King Olav and Princess Astrid (wearing the Vasa Tiara, Turquoise Necklace, and her Wedding Dress) hosted a spectacular State Banquet in honour of the Shah of Iran (in the Order of St. Olav) and Empress Farah (wearing the Seven Emerald Tiara and Empress Eugenie’s Emeralds) at the Royal Palace of Oslo.
