A HAIR whizz has revealed exactly how to tell whether curtain fringe will suit your face after Kate Middleton sported the look for a recent outing.

Beauty expert Valentina took to her social media account to share the simple method for viewers to be able to try the style out for themselves before getting the chop.

Sharing photos of Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber with the hairdo first, she asked: “Wanna know if you would look good with curtain bangs?”

She then told viewers to try this method first as she scooped up her hair and tied it back into a high bun.

Valentina said it was important to leave the ends of your hair out and move the section to the front.

After securing the excess strands down at the base of the bun with pins, she then began styling those front sections into a fringe.

She then donned a headband to make the fringe look natural.

TikTok user @bilintinamakeup then used a pair of hair straighteners to style it into the shape she wanted and showed off the end results.

In the caption, she added: “Wait don’t [cut] your bangs, try this first and see it you like it!”

And people were appreciative as one person wrote: “Okay let me just try it rn”.

Another said: “Once again amazing job, you should open up a hairstyle salon,” followed by two heart emojis.

While a third added: “great idea!!! my hair is dwn to my waist with long layers and i had curtain bangs in high school a few yrs ago! want them again!”

The hairstyle is trending again after Kate Middleton brought the iconic look back while visiting HMP High Down in Surrey earlier this week.

The Princess of Wales looked incredible as she donned a blue Alexander McQueen suit over a white T-shirt.

Kate, 41, styled her brunette mane down into loose waves for the occasion and kept the grow-out fringe to the side to frame her face.

It appears she decided to bring the style back from 2012, when she donned it for the official opening of The Natural History Museum’s Treasures Gallery.

She stepped out with the hairdo once more in 2020 but didn’t maintain it.

Kate doesn’t often change her hairstyle, but when she does, a curtain fringe seems to be what she opts for – no doubt as it doesn’t require a big chop.

Celebrity hairstylist Nicky Clarke previously told Harper’s Bazaar that the curtain fringe is “incredibly versatile”.

They work on “any length of hair, and allow the wear to really take ownership of their look, pairing well with edgy rock-chick looks or more pared-back, off-duty styles”.

Would you take the plunge to get a curtain fringe?

Meanwhile, one beauty fan put the Aldi hair dupe to the test to compare it to the posh version… here’s what happened.

And a hair professional has shared a serious mistake everyone makes when attempting to do a slick back bun.
