Princess Kate made one little girl’s Christmas Day after accepting a gift for her daughter Princess Charlotte.
Queues of fans witnessed Kate approach the crowds and as one child lined up to see the future Queen, she handed her a drawing of Charlotte.
As reported in the Daily Mail, when receiving the picture, the Princess of Wales said: “Did you miss Charlotte? Yeah, should I give it to her when we get back home? That’s so kind of you, there’s your writing. Thank you very much. Merry Christmas.”
The sweet interaction between the Princess of Wales and the little one was caught on camera by other fans nearby who were also eagerly waiting to meet the royals during their annual walkabout at Sandringham.
Royal fans rushed to social media to share their love for Kate’s interaction, with one saying: “Well done to the P of W, and to the parent who gave her child’s drawing to her. How gracious of them both.”
Meanwhile, another royal-watcher said: “She is so lovely. An icon.”
In another sweet interaction, a woman who had worked for Macmillan Cancer Support told Kate: “I just wanted to say you are an inspiration to all the patients.”
Kate replied she was “truly grateful” for the dedication and hard work of people in the health service. The Princess of Wales previously said her focus is to “stay cancer free” after finishing chemotherapy treatment.
She made the announcement in her most personal family video to date in the summer, showing her spending private time with Prince William and her children.
He joined the family at church for the last two years but was said to be preparing to spend Christmas Day with his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York this year.
Kate’s brother-in-law Prince Harry and his wife Meghan chose to spend Christmas in America with their two young children and did not join in with the festivities in the UK.
There has been a strained relationship between Prince Harry, Meghan and the Firm, since they quit as working royals in 2020.
