Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are allegedly particularly unpopular in the US due to one key reason, a Hollywood insider has claimed, as they labelled the couple the “most unpopular kids in school”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 and moved to Montecito, California, where they now reside with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Since their royal exit, the Sussex couple saw their popularity plummet significantly in the UK as well as the US, following their various explosive claims about their life within the Firm.

Now, Hollywood publicist Jane Owen told The Standard about the couple’s popularity in the States: “Quite frankly, they were given every opportunity to shine in Hollywood. They had a huge deal at a top streaming network with a massive budget and an audience eager to listen and watch.”

She added: “They have done worse than nothing — they have actively destroyed the opportunities they were given. I’ve always said Hollywood could be compared to high school in terms of how people behave, and to use that analogy, they’ve become the most unpopular kids in school.”
