Formal Gathering of the Swedish Academy 2024

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel joined King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden for the Formal Gathering of the Swedish Academy at the Stortorget in Stockholm on the evening of December 20th, to finalise the following year’s Nobel Laureates.

King Carl XVI Gustaf was joined by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel as he attended the annual Formal Gathering of the Swedish Academy at the Stortorget in Stockholm on the evening of December 20th, which is always held four days before Christmas. The Formal Gathering is the last scheduled engagement of the Swedish Royal Family this year. At the Gathering, the Swedish Academy decides on the Nobel Laureates for the following year’s Nobel Prizes.

Crown Princess Victoria wore the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim and King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait Brooch.

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Prince Daniel wore the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim and the Neck Badge of the Order of the Polar Star.
