The first hints at who will be celebrating Christmas at Sandringham with The King and Queen have appeared.
Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, has indicated that he will be joining the Royal Family for their festive celebrations there for the first time.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, he said that although the invitation has been there for past festive celebrations, this year there is an extra royal command. He told the paper that ”my mum said ‘I’d love you to come, I haven’t had Christmas with you for a long time.”
He said his usual Christmas was with his children and, even after parting with his ex-wife Sara Buys in 2018, they all still spent the holidays together as a family. However, 2024 looks different.
He is hoping to take his two children to Sandringham for a royal Christmas, mostly to support his mother and stepfather after a tough time. He told the paper that ”it has been a hell of a two years for them. The older you get, the more conscious you become of mortality, especially with illnesses and the rest of it.”
It’s expected that much of the Royal Family will join The King and Queen at Sandringham with the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children expected at the Norfolk estate alongside the Princess Royal and her family and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their children.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie usually spend Christmas at Sandringham with their father, the Duke of York. In 2023, their mum, Sarah, Duchess of York was also included in the party and walked to church with the Royal Family on Christmas morning.
