The Norwegian Royal Family are hosting President Alexander Stubb of Finland and First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb on their State Visit to Norwayfrom October 15 and 17, to celebrate and build diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties and their close cooperation in defence, business, and culture. King Harald and Queen Sonja made a State Visit to Finland in 2016.
In the morning, King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit received President Alexander Stubb and First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb in an Official Welcome Ceremony outside the Royal Palace in Oslo, which was followed by the exchange of gifts.
Later, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit joined the President and First Lady for a wreath laying ceremony at Akershus Fortress before the Crown Princess joined the First Lady to visit the Language Center at Sofienberg School in Oslo.
In the evening, the King and Queen Sonja hosted a State Banquet at the Royal Palace of Oslo in honour of President Alexander Stubb and First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb, which was also attended by the Crown Prince, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Princess Astrid. Both the King and President gave speeches.
Queen Sonja wore Norwegian Emerald Parure, with the Order of the White Rose of Finland and Royal Family Order of King Harald V. King Harald and Crown Prince Haakon wore the Order of the White Rose of Finland, while the President received the Order of St. Olav and the First Lady got the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore Diamond Daisy Bandeau, the Order of the White Rose of Finland and the Royal Family Order of King Harald V.
Princess Astrid wore the Vasa Tiara, the Order of the White Rose of Finland with Family Orders of King Haakon, King Olav, and King Harald.
