Fall movies showing in Greater Columbus include a variety of genres

Lights, camera, action! The fall movie season is here!

From blockbusters that will blanket multiplexes throughout Greater Columbus to local programming at area theaters, including the Gateway Film Center and the Wexner Center for the Arts, autumn has plenty to offer film lovers.

Here is a sampling of what’s in store for those who prefer to spend the fall months in the dark in the company of a bucket of popcorn.

‘Hitchcocktober’ returns to the Gateway Film Center

The Gateway Film Center, 1550 N. High St., will be something like Hitchcock Central from Sept. 29 through Oct. 31. The “Hitchcocktober” series will feature screenings of the most famous flicks by the Master of Suspense, including 35mm presentations of “Strangers on a Train” (Sept. 30), “Vertigo” (Oct. 13-16) and “Psycho” (Oct. 27-31).
