Meghan Markle appears to hint that she is “feeling broody” according to her latest comments on her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder, claims psychologist Stefan Walters. In one of the latest episodes of her podcast, the 43-year-old spoke about her experience of motherhood.
Welcoming her first child in 2019, Meghan is mum to Archie, 6, and Lilibet, who will celebrate her fourth birthday later this week. Reflecting on her pregnancies, Meghan said: “I always wear my five-inch, pointy-toed stilettos. You have the most enormous bump and your tiny little ankles are bracing themselves in these high heels… So you’re just going, how on earth am I not just tipping, you know, face-planting? I was clinging very closely to my husband, like, ‘Please don’t let me fall.'”
Meghan also added that motherhood has, at times, made her feel consumed. She said: “People forget that Lili is three, and Archie is five. So you look at the past five, six years of my life, it’s yes, with being pregnant or with a newborn or with a toddler, and then another one.”
Mr Walters said: “Women often romanticise and enjoy that stage of pregnancy and having a newborn baby, and want to really share that with the world at large because it can be such a unique and beautiful time.”
Speaking to OK!, he added: “I think she’s probably experiencing that as well, feeling broody and going through those feelings as she makes sense of it all and shares it with the world while trying to have a voice.”
Meghan’s comments come after Prince Harry, 40, previously expressed that he would like two children.
In a previous interview with Vogue shortly after the birth of Archie, Harry said that he woud like “two, maximum”.
Speaking of his reason for his decision, he said: “But I’ve always thought, this place is borrowed.
“And, surely, being as intelligent as we all are, or as evolved as we all are supposed to be, we should be able to leave something better behind for the next generation.”
