Prince Ricardo De La Cerda
Happy Birthday to Princess Antonia, Duchess of Wellington, who turns 70 today! The Prussian Princess married into one of the most illustrious British Aristocratic Families, the Duchess has a magnificent jewellery collection in her possession, which includes this Diamond Floral Tiara!

The exact origin of the Diamond Tiara is unknown but it appears to be an heirloom of the illustrious Wellesley Family, created around the same time as grander Wellington Tiara.
The Diamond Floral Tiara was worn as a Corsage when pictured on Kathleen, wife of the 4th Duke of Wellington, for a series of portraits in 1906, paired with the Wellington Tiara and most other family jewels on her person.
Over the years, Princess Antonia was worn a striking Diamond Floral Corsage, which many assumed was the central element of the Tiara, but is an identical piece.
Princess Antonia, Duchess of Wellington wore the Diamond Floral Tiara with the Diamond Corsage as the leading Peeress at the State Opening of Parliament in 2024. Let’s hope we see the Tiara worn again soon!
