Prince William is now first-in-line to the throne under his father King Charles’ reign, and will no doubt be thinking ahead to the future. While the Prince of Wales, 42, is in no rush to be monarch, the time will eventually come one day, and with that so will a lot of important decisions.

While most monarchs have the support of their siblings to help them through the process, with Princess Anne being considered as a rock to King Charles, this is unlikely to be the case for Prince William. This is because William has experienced a fractured relationship with his now estranged brother Prince Harry over recent years, especially since Harry walked away from royal life in 2020 and went on to make a number of bombshell moves, including writing a memoir.

Although Prince Harry, 40, and his wife Meghan Markle, 43, are no longer working royals, they do still hold the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with many questioning whether this will be the case under William’s future reign.

It is believed William has not been on talking terms with Harry since 2023, when Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare hit the shelves.

Although William has refrained from commenting about his brother, sources have previously spoken about the lack of trust in the relationship, with some believing the future King has no desire to reconcile with his younger brother.

This could put Harry’s royal title at risk when his brother takes to the throne.

While many royal fans have called for this before, the action of removing a royal title is not as simple as it may seem.

This is because the Dukedom was a personal gift from the late Queen and would require legislative action through an act of Parliament.

While it many be a long process, it can be done, and only time will tell.
