D’EDGE names Accor marketing veteran as new MD APAC

D-EDGE Hospitality Solutions has named Accor marketing veteran Emilie Couton as APAC managing director, replacing Christine Tan, who led the business for seven years.

Emilie Couton: Taking D’EDGE in new direction.

Couton was formerly with Accor, covering sales, digital marketing, guest experience and loyalty roles, over 20 years, the last 18 of which were spent in Asia. She left the group following its restructure in the region which saw the closure of its Asia Pacific office.

She joined D’EDGE, which is a fully-owned subsidiary of Accor, earlier this year. In March, D’EDGE was chosen by Accor to be the Central Reservation System (CRS) for its 5,300 hotels worldwide.

With Couton’s “deep understanding of hoteliers’ needs and challenges”, D’EDGE says she will “guide them through new distribution landscape and practices to support their business growth”.

Pierre-Charles Grob, CEO of D-EDGE,  said, “Emilie knows the business in and out. With her knowledge of the markets and passion for the hospitality industry, she will help us grow our clients’ business and drive opportunities in the region. She will build on the great work of the D-EDGE APAC team led by Christine Tan, who was instrumental in the development of strong partnerships with our clients.”
