Happy Birthday to Crown Prince Moulay El-Hassan of Morocco, who turns 20 today! The oldest child and only son of King Mohammed VI of Morocco and Princess Lalla Salma, he is the elder brother of Princess Lalla Khadija and is named after his grandfather King Hassan II, and expected to bear the regnal name King Hassan III.
The Crown Prince obtained his baccalaureate in 2020 and joined the Faculty of Governance and Economic and Social Sciences (FGSES), an affiliate of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Ben Guerir (UM6P). Crown Prince Moulay El-Hassan speaks several languages, including Arabic, French, English, and Spanish.
Crown Prince Moulay El-Hassan began undertaking official engagements after his 10th Birthday in 2013, with notable appearances at the Funeral of the Count of Paris and the Funeral of French President Jacques Chirac, as well as receiving the Spanish State Visit to Morocco and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their visit to Morocco.
