Happy Birthday to Carole Middleton, who turns 70 today! The enterprising businesswoman and mother of the Princess of Wales has only worn a handful of discreet jewels, but today we are featuring her striking Robinson Pelham Blue Topaz Suite!

Featuring a magnificent pair of girandole Earrings composed of blue topaz and diamonds set in white gold alongside a coordinating necklace, the £14300 earrings and necklace were created by jeweller Robinson Pelham and acquired by Carole Middleton around 2011.

Carole Middleton was notably photographed wearing the Robinson Pelham Blue Topaz Suite departing the Goring Hotel in London to attend the Gala Dinner and Reception at Buckingham Palace following the Wedding of her daughter, Catherine Middleton, to Prince William in 2011.

Four years later, the Earrings from the Robinson Pelham Blue Topaz Suite were worn by the then Duchess of Cambridge to the Royal Film Premiere of ‘Spectre’, which was a rare occasion the now Princess of Wales has worn any jewel from her own family.
