Over 2,200 people will attend the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Members of the Royal Family will join other members of Their Majesties’ families inside Westminster Abbey on May 6 for the ceremony.
Foreign royal families will also be present. In total, there will be representatives of 203 countries at the Abbey with 100 Heads of State among them.
Members of the Government, Parliament and the devolved parliaments of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are on the guest list as are Prime Ministers and Governors-General from the Realms. Former Prime Ministers have also been invited.
Lord Lieutenants and Lord Provosts as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps will all take their places in the Abbey as King Charles and Queen Camilla are crowned.
The 2,200 guests also include members of the Defence Services, including serving and former Armed Forces personnel. They will join representatives from the Law and representatives from the Realms nominated by the High Commissions at the service.
People from the patronages of King Charles and Queen Camilla have also been invited as have British Medal recipients. Nobel Prize winners are also among the guests as are members of the emergency services.
Representatives of the Church and other faith groups will also be in the congregation.
In addition, 400 young people representing charities nominated by King Charles, Queen Camilla and the Government will watch the Coronation from St. Margaret’s Church, next door to the Abbey.
The Coronation takes place at 11m on May 6th 2023.
