King Charles hosted his first garden party of 2024 at Buckingham Palace as he continues to increase his public engagements whole continuing with his cancer treatment. He did not have to handle the party alone though, as several members of the Royal Family joined him.
King Charles and Queen Camilla officially hosted the first garden party of the year with over 4,000 guests attending in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
To mark the significant event, the King and Queen were joined by The Princess Royal, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. As the Palace aims for each guest to meet a member of the Royal Family at these events, there are typically several royals attending.
The Prince of Wales was unable to attend as he had engagements in Windsor and the Princess of Wales is still undergoing medical treatments.
His Majesty looked incredibly happy as he mingled with guests. He has slowly been increasing his public engagements and meeting larger groups of people.
This particular garden party was focused on highlighting those who have contributed to “culture, art, heritage, film, TV, radio and fashion”.
There will be an additional garden party at Buckingham Palace, and one held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse later in the summer when The King and QUeen are in Scotland.
