The Queen was in North Yorkshire on Friday for a very windy visit to RAF Leeming to meet with armed forces personnel, base staff, and family members.
Queen Camilla spent some time at RAF Leeming, a base near Northallerton, to meet with RAF personnel to discuss mental health support.

Her Majesty first met with school children who presented her with flowers before she toured a wellness garden that base air crews have created. She met with some of the armed forces members who created the garden that has rescued hens, vegetable plants, and beehives.
The members and their families shared the positive impacts of the garden, including keeping busy and having fresh vegetables and eggs to use.

The Queen also met with members of the Qatari Emiri Air Force who are there on the base for training with RAF pilots, cybersecurity, drone targeting, and signals.
She was then treated to a flypast of both RAF and Qatari pilots flying Hawk Jets.

Her Majesty chose a particularly thoughtful brooch for her visit- she wore her RAF brooch that she received at RAF Halton.
Queen Camilla is the Honorary Air Commodore for RAF Leeming. This was not Her Majesty’s first visit to the North Yorkshire base, as she visited in 2014 to help open a new medical station on the base and again in 2017.
